NigerianNews Letter to the Editor

February 28, 2007

Dear Mr Larr,,

You are not totally correct

I have been reading your articles for quite some time now but this morning you confirmed my fears: you are not only prejudiced about Atiku you hate his guts. Please review your articles and you'll see that you are not fair on the man at all. Remember their fight of insanity came to the open after the Presidential media chat where a journalist alleged that Atiku hinted him that OBJ swore to leave after the end of their 2nd term. The President started raining all kinds of abuse on his VP, if you were in Nigeria then it took some time before we heard the VP utter a word about the President's vituperation against him......Now if the only thing you see is that The VP has gone overboard, well I may agree with you to some extent because he is still a man and man has got limits. It is the boss that was/is extremely reckless and uncultured in his utterances and you refused to emphasize that in your articles but anytime you want to talk about Atiku, there is gravity in your
statements. IT IS NOT FAIR. You claimed objectivity but you are far from it. I read your article about the CoA judgment the 2nd day and it was bestselling 'promotional' for a dictator. However, I am not saying Atiku is fighting for Nigeria as you also pointed out, but if it was a pretence he appears a better democrat than the president-who has no rules. he behaves like God and does whatever pleases him. On the judgment, I hope you are not alleging you know better than the 5 judges or probably that they have been bribed by Atiku. I will stop with this nigerian Guradian motto: " Conscience is an open wound, only truth can heal it" . have a nice day.

Frisky Larr's reply

Dear Mr. Damola Ade,

Thanks for your letter that was not totally one-sided. I do not hate Atiku's guts Sir. I only hold the views that he is responsible for ridiculing the presidency and for fighting a show battle that he can never win. His fight is merely for the gallery and it has only helped him ruin his chances for the Presidency that he badly wanted. No matter what transpired between the President and the Vice President, whereby the President always has the prerogative of superiority, the Vice President's reaction cannot be rebellion. Atiku would have stood a better chance if he quit the administration in good time and prepared for the Presidency on another platform and also exposed the corruption of the Presidency all on another platform and not while continuing to be a part of the same Presidency. The argument that he would have thus, been playing into the hands of his enemies just does not hold. The choice of fighting his enemies with a view to washing dirty linens in the public has harmed him most. The north is not behind him as he would have expected. His only saving grace at the moment are the courts and his immunity. With some intelligence, he would have done far better Sir. That is my argument. Nothing more.

Best regards!

Frisky Larr

Dear Editor,

That Judgment

That judgment in favour of Alhaji Atiku was really reckless, I hope our
eminent Judges know that what they simply have done was to have enthrone
illegality and lawlessness on the side of deputies. It is unbelievable
that one can imagine that judgment will be given in the favour of the
Vice President looking at the cloud of evidences against him. What
exactly are our eminent Judges indicating, that a deputy or vice can
embark on his own agenda at the expense of the head, it is ridiculous
and shameful that our Judges can not hide their personal hatred for
Obasanjo, forgetting that it goes beyond the individual, it is an
institution, it is not Obasanjo but the Presidency. The precedence has
already been set, it has been legalised by our biased and perhaps
corrupt Judges (remember Atiku been a former Custom General and a very
wealthy one for that matter, one should not expect that money has not
changed hands). There is no other way to explain this blatant
miscarriage of justice.

Dear Editor,

Section 142 (1) and section 146 (3)(c)

While your site has been awashed with what you think about this section of the constitution for a number of weeks now, not minding that you are been biased and uninformed about it, I hope the categorical statement about the issue by the Appeal Court will have gone a long way to educate you of the difference between a Vice-Presidential candidate and a sitting Vice-President. I do believe that the constitution was written with people like Mr. Obasanjo and parties like PDP in mind to protect any body in office.

While I do not support Atiku as the next President of this country and will lose no sleep over it if he does, I do believe that things should be done properly. Two (2) wrongs definitely don't make a right neither does it make things right.

The way and manner the President has gone about the whole issue of preventing Atiku from campaign leaves much to be desired. I believe we have gone pass such archaic ways of doing things. Send EFCC after every human being that he wakes up to dislike the face is petty, childish, repulsive, an abuse of power, undemocratic, uninformed (EFCC is suppose to send findings to N.A and charges indicted people to court, not send report to president) and lazy.

The countries that we envy their democracy did not do things this way. If the President can stop been MENTALLY LAZY, he will find out legal, political and moral ways of stopping someone he claims( Pot calling kettle black) is corrupt. I am sure his attitude of 'I know it all' has prevented people around him from telling him the right way to get Atiku out! He should start listening to people more intelligent than him, that is what has been helping Atiku. telling him to resign 'honourably' in a lawless country where the only thing probably keeping him alive is his immunity is callous, insentitive, self centred and unreasonable. You can only advice him to do that when we have a government that obeys the rule of law.

This country belongs to all of us, not more to Obasanjo and his cohorts than to me or you guys. He can't claim to be more Nigerian than me. Therefore he should behaving as if the country is by extension a part of OTA FARMS. you sycophants should stop telling him what he wants to hear, tell him the truth.
When the history of this country is written in the 50 years, let it be written that guys like you and Obasanjo made effort to destroy this country due to you greed.

Dear Editor,

Liberating Nigeria of Corruption

Liberating Nigeria of corruption would the greatest achievement of the century and the fellow who does this would be ranked the third greatest human in the black race following Martin Luther King, Jr. and Nelson Mandela. Such liberation would release one of the the greatest human potential for progress and development in the world, but this has so far been drowned by corruption. Nigeria was destined to be one of the greatest nations on earth with a teaming population of great minds and energy, but corruption has created a very unwelcoming environment for these to show up. The political leaders have perpetuated a culture of corruption within which the lead sees he/she who tries not to be corrupt.as dangerous and sometimes marked for elimination. Corruption reigns even to the village level, and as many who cannot beat them have joined them, only very few are left to fight it.

n the light of this, President Obasanjo's thrust in the direction of curtailing corruption in Nigeria should be appreciated, and to Nuhu Ribadu, all true lovers of Nigeria should say well done! keep up!! and God bless you!!!..

Hello,

thank you for your compliment and enduring interest. Please note that there is a google search as you enter NigerianNews, and all you have to do is to click the option that says "Search NigerianNews.com" rather than "Search the web". Then you can type in the box Anambra to see what we have on the state.

Dear Editor,

NOW, WHO WILL DELIVER OYO STATE?!

“BOTH THE OPPRESSOR AND THE OPPRESSED ARE IN BONDAGE…”
Nelson Rolihlahla MANDELA

It is no longer news that OYO State of NIGERIA has been and remains under the BONDAGE of the ADEDIBU-OBASANJO brigandage.

The problem is who will now DELIVER the state?

Is it OBASANJO, whose constitutional responsibility it is to protect all Nigerians from such HEADACHES as ADEDIBU? Definitely NOT, as he is the DOGFATHER of the THUGFATHER ( I am sorry dear Prof Wole Soyinka to correct you that neither Obasanjo nor Adedibu deserve to be called GOD –fathers, as they do have the decorum of real cappo di cappo). His hands are too glaring in the matter right from before the beginning…

Is it EHIDERO, the Inspector General of the Nigerian POLICE Gang? Certainly not, as he is part of the PERFIDY through his Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Jonathan JOHNSON. It was Ehindero that removed Audu ABUBAKAR the erstwhile commissioner in Oyo state because he was not taking orders from their “Garrison Commander” of Molete… For aligning the Nigerian Police FORCE with that of ADEDIBU-TOKYO thuggery POWER, Jonathan Johnson was PROMOTED by EHINDERO. Since then the state NPF has become BPF, that is the BABArIC Police Force, and the Headquarter was moved from Eleiyele to MOLETE. Our sources tell us that ADEDIBU has his own BRIGADE, decorated with full police UNIFORM and RANKS to match: TOKYO is now the State Assistant Commissioner of Police!

Is it OYO OBAS, whose traditional role it is to CORRECT such anomalies in their domains? Definitely not as it seems they have all gone to sleep on this matter. For them it is see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. There is a Yoruba adage that says “agba kii wa l’oja, k’ori omo tuntun o wo”, meaning literally that if there are elders in the marketsquare, the new born babe’s head will not be allowed to lie crookedly. Now where are the ELDERS in OYO state with ADEDIBU taking over the lordship of the kingdom. Particularly, we must ask what role has the OLUBADAN played to get ADEDIBU tamed? Maybe he has not gone too far enough for the OBAS to deal desisively with the matter?...

Is it the PDP LEADERS, both at the state and national levels, whose duty it is to create a good image for their party and endear it to the populace in order to win their confidence and their votes. Certainly not, as it seems that the party leaderships are already COMPROMISED, individually and collectively. The state leaders of PDP include Dr Omololu OLUNLOYO, Senator Lekan BALOGUN, Alhaji Yekeen ADEOJO and in what ways have they helped to DELIVER us from ADEDIBU? At the national level we have people like Col Ahmadu ALI, Mr Ojo MADUEKE, Chief Bode GEORGE and their ring leader, OBASANJO, who have all CONDEMNED the state to the mercy, I mean MERCILESSNESS, of their “garrison commander”…

Is it Nuhu RIBADU and his EFCC nemesis against economic and financial CRIMINALS which apparently ADEDIBU and AKALA are both declared to be by the tzar himself on Wednesday 31 January 2007 at the University of Ibadan. Probably not as it appears that even then Nuhu is INCAPACITATED to deal with these scums as required by the law and is the practice in other even minor instances. In the latest LIST of 135 CORRUPT political aspirants released yesterday, Wednesday 7 February 2007, ( THISDAY…) the SACRED name of the Ribadu-damned AKALA was glaringly OMMITED!!! You know why, don’t you? Well…

Is it KAYODE ARE, the State Security Service (SSS) Director General, an illustrious SON of IBADAN, and a good representative of OYO state at the Federal level, whose job it is to ensure that all NIGERIANS enjoy a modicum of security everywhere? Apparently, indeed, Kayode ARE is the man to deliver OYO state. He has TRIED to do just that in December 2006 by CAPTURING Lateef AKINSOLA, aka TOKYO, the chief thug of the thugfather in a COMMANDO style operation at Olomi in Ibadan. Seeing that he has become TAMED, and ‘DECAPITATED’, Adedibu quickly ran to OBASANJO in Abuja and easily secured the IMMEDIATE release of their (PDP’s) main WMD ( fully loaded weapon of masses destructions). Please, Kayode ARE should be congratulated for his efforts. We should be GRATEFUL for his boldness. I am informed that he does not give up easily and he has some other scripts with which to deliver Oyo State which OBASANJO will not be able to thwart this time around. So, Kayode ARE and the SSS, we
are waiting…

Is it IWU and INEC, whose sacred responsibility and duty it is to be an impartial umpire for a FREE and FAIR election, but who has already been COMPROMISED with illegal voters REGISTRATIONS having taken place in ADEDIBU’s and AKALA’s backyards. To compound our woes, they can NOT, and will NOT be PROSECUTED. And they challenge us, the PEOPLE, the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, the MEDIA, the ACTIVISTS to go to hell. Should we or should we not take along ?...

Is it YOU and ME, as the oppressed INDEGENES of OYO state, whose destiny it is to LIBERATE ourselves from the overbearing yoke of ADEDIBUISM, BABArISM, KAMPEISM, THUGFATHERISM, DOGFATHERISM and TERRORISM…We have SHOUTED ourselves hoarse, we have PROTESTED albeit mildly, but we continue to be OPPRESSED, more and more and more. Now, our chance to do DELIVER ourselves and our state comes up on Voting days, Saturdays 14 and 21 APRIL, 2007…

NOW, regarding the gubernatorial CANDIDATES to DELIVER OYO State for PDP: who will it be between AKALA(magbo), the PUPPET of ADEDIBU(buruku), the PETDOG of Bode GEORGE, the VULTURE of OYO Treasury, and Senator Rasheed Adewolu LADOJA, the AJAGUNMOLU of NIGERIA, the OGBORIOBADIBU of AFRICA, the VANGUARD of OYO State. We all know who can easily DELIVER Oyo State, but OBASANJO says it is AKALA that will surely DELIVER Oyo to him in APRIL as ADEDIBU has already RIGGED the election for him and BODE GEORGE so as to continue their CORRUPTION of the state and their OPPRESSION of the populace and their TERRORISATION of the opposition, real and unreal.

WE can DELIVER Oyo state. We shall DELIVER Oyo state. We will keep faith on 14 and 21 of APRIL 2007. We should be BATTLE ready as OPPRESSORS do not give in easily. We know that OBASANJO, BODE GEORGE and ADEDIBU will use the POLICE and their THUGS against us, but we shall NOT be cowed, we shall NOT be defeated, we shall NOT give in to the EVIL forces.

From now on, let us be fully PREPARED. We, YOU and ME, must DELIVER Oyo State, by any MEANS necessary! We need our AGBEKOYA and OPC and other MILITIAS to lead us NOW!!

Enough is enough. The time is now. We, the PEOPLE of OYO State, must and shall, in the name of ODUDUWA and LAGELU, and other ancestors being disgraced, OVERCOME!!!

Dear Editor,

nigerian female hacker with first bank

it is terrifying and horrific how a nation has grown into this worldwide shame of ours as regards fraud that has now given us a perfect national identity anywhere we go or live around the world today. looking back to the history of leadership in our beloved nation,it is a perfect example set down by our leaders that they follow.Nigeria is on top of the list of the transparency international as regards fraud and corruption and that made us a great nation to the outside world hence a lot of potential investors would like to invest in nigerian whereby the unemployment could be minimized to a certain degree. That is an irony my beloved folks.

Through the hardship we suffered from the past regime of absolute corruption whereby the meaning of Nigeria to the unforgetable

SANI ABACHA and his comrades was just themselves and their family alone and no body else,.we have grown not to know any other way of survival than dishonesty whereby people dont take to consideration whoever fell into their prey anymore, wether it is a young man or woman struggling here in abroad to make ends meet for his or her relatives and family back home in nigeria, going through the discriminations, injustice from the indigens whose country we all are living in abroad, It hurts a great deal to know that why you are here in abroad going through all of these, some people in the bank or banks in Nigeria are busy making themselves fortune from other peoples money coming from here.let us continue like this so we can make our nation a very great one.Let us always celebrate our leaders who have come in here to bank our public fund into foreign bank accounts, throwing parties in the uk and America, flying first class etc.

LETS CELEBRATE. Do we need to be recolonized once again? have we forgotten our values? it is now a shame to be nigerian if you dont know, now you should know. Displaying loots has now become a way of life in Nigeria. keep on doing it so that our unborn will continue to suffer the image we have created for them to inherit when also trying to obtain visa to abroad to survive the family back home in Nigeria in the future.LETS CELEBRATE OUR LOOTS

Dear Editor,

BUHARI IS NOT THE MESSIAH

BUHARI IS NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR THE PRESIDENT OF FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA AND HE SHOULD BE REJECTED IN THE APRIL PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. BESIDE HIS OPPRESSIVE AND DOUBLE STANDARDS POLICY (16 BAGS FROM SAUDI IN MIND)AS MILITARY HEAD OF STATE, HE IS MUSLIM FUNDAMENTALIST BECAUSE HE ALWAYS TOOK SIDE WHENEVER THERE WAS RELIGIOUS STRFE IN THE COUNTRY AND IN ADDITION, HIS ADMINISTRATION AS HEAD OF PTF FAVOURED GLARINGLY HIS MUSLIM NORYH IN TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND CONTRACT AWARDED. IT WAS REPORTED IN ONE OF THE LEADING NEWSPAPERS THAT ONLY 2 OUT OF THE 16
DIRECTORATES WERE HEAD BY PEOPLE OF SOUTHERN ORIGIN AND 83% OF PTF CONTRACTS WERE AWARDED TO THE MUSLIM NORTH. THE COUNTRY NEEDS A NATIONALIST PRESIDENT WHO WILL RESPECT THE RIGHT OF MUSLIM AS WELL AS CHRISTIANS. BUHARI PAST RECORDS SHOW HE IS NOT AND THEREFORE HE SHOULD BE REJECTED AT THE APRIL ELECTION
