IG, rescue Uzuakoli community from Armed Robbery terrorism

Uzuakoli is a community in Bende local government area of Abia State.
Some call it Safe Heaven. A journey from Uzuakoli to Umuahia the Abia
state capital will only take between ten to twenty minutes drive. The
people are mainly farmers. The community used to be known for peace;
has not known peace for the past two years the community has not known
peace. The reason is not because of war rather it is as a result of
incessant armed robbery attack. These robbers are so heartless that
they will not only rob but also torture their victims.
About three months ago, a young man who resides in UK came home for
burial but what he saw baffled him. Not only that he was disposed of
all he came home with, he was also deprived from participating in the
burial of his brother. The wicked robbers after their loot decided to
go along with the man. They kept him for days demanding for ransom
before his release. The family of the bereaved had to cough out a
reasonable sum of money before their child was released. What a double
tragedy!
Also a week ago an innocent woman killed by the dare devil robbers was
buried. The robbers after robbing decided to kill the mother of four.
They shot her several times and left her in the pool of her blood.
I call on the Inspector General of Police, Sir Mark Okiro, to please
come to our aid. This is necessary because in a situation where these
boys have taken robbery as hobby, indigenes now live in fear because
nobody knows the next victim. “They are enemies within”. IG should
please send down his boys to come and fish out these bad eggs.
If this is not checked, the community will end up living in perpetual
fear. As it stands now, I cannot even travel home to go and see my aged
mother. For how long will this continue? Please we really need the
police to intervene. They only police station in the community is not
enough for these dare devil robbers.
