Letter to Frisky Larr on 'Our Nation is doomed! At least for now!'

Dear Frisky,

Love reading your articles

I always love reading your article. I weep for Nigeria and our so called elites.

Gbenga Bakare

My dear friend,

Right this once

I'll say without mincing words that your article was well titled. stressing it further than that might tag you a 'a prophet of doom'.

Well, I must say I missed your column for some days after your frantic attempt at defending the wanted thieving senator.

I am a bit busy these days but I could not let some of your statements pass without a comment.

Please do not narrow everything down to 'hating Obasanjo' or 'anti-obasanjo-ism'. The battle is much more than that. The fact that Etteh was not

probed could still be traced back to your friend's machinery or his evil prowess. At least, he still sits atop the largest evil assemblage called PDP as Chairman of the BOT.

My brother, there will be a day Nigerians will get rid of these so called thieves. When Abdusalam drained the treasury as he was handing over to OBJ, people like you opined that he should not be probed so as not to heat up the polity; he was let go and the looting continues. 4,8 years on the latter did the same thing and what we hear is along the same line; probing OBJ would amount to standing still-an impedance to progress. Let me tell you, as long we refuse to face the truth and stand by it -doom is the word as you rightly opined. There won't be any progress but decay, decay and decay.

Personally, I don't really believe so much can come out of the scientist -cum-president of the most populous black nation on earth. My reasons, the Chess-playing General that schemed him in has prepared a lot of booby-traps for him. Need I mention a few- election Tribunal wars, last minute petrol increase before handing over, the unsolved power problem and also his 'health' etc. Ask yourself, what was so striking in this man that only OBJ saw pre-April 2007 period? Unless you want us to believe that OBJ is your Jesus Christ, you can only answer 'only God knows' after prolonged pondering.

Frisky, I have never read any of your articles condemning INEC, Andy Uba, Iyabo Obasanjo and their likes. You are always on the side defending them. Let me ask you this personal question. Do you think Iyabo is a responsible person judging from the little you've known and read about her?
Marriage, US misdemeanors, How he won Ogun state election at the expense of one humiliated and attacked Tejuoso.

Please be clear on this, it's not about hating anybody or trying to target a particular family. The problem is that the rank of Nigeria looters is swelling on second by second by basis. In order not to heat up the system, IBB was left alone but up till today about US $12b Gulf war oil windfall is elsewhere unaccounted for, then came Abacha with his own weird looting-nobody even had the chance of raising an accussing finger, then he passed on, Abdusalami came and he and his entourage looted and looted until this your friend came in with many Nigerians hoping that De javu has come! But how wrong they were, the demon of greed in Aso Rock just got a new lease of life and everything all the way was about 'dumping the record of IBB'.Look at Anenih, Olabode George, Gaius Obaseki--the list is endless. The last word is "don't heat up the system" OR 'let's forget and move forward'. But are we really moving forward? Food for thought.

Advise Iyabo to come out if she is clean, not to hide and evade arrest. Afterall, El-Rufai came out to defend himself . It's very sad that you were justifying these kinds of action from a supposed honourable member of the senate and the public enemy #1. Nobody hates him but posterity has started judging him. And all the sycophants still hailing him and the other thieves whether in govt or not would soon bear their shame.

Dear Frisky,

Your column today with the caption as in the subject row, is food for thought for our leaders, representatives and those that matter, if at all they have the time read and reflect.
However, I will like to know your stand on the probes ongoing. Are you saying they are of no importance or what.
I feel with you the pain of watching a great nation turn dumb and of existing without value among the comity of nations.
God help us.

The probes are alright if they are unbiased and executed strictly in good faith. Thanks alot for taking the time to read!

Dear Frisky,

I used to mistake your name for Atsar Terver.  i wrote to him and commended his writing on Obj.  I later discovered that it was you.  i wrote back to tell him after reading his incestious writings that i do not agree with his writing and mistook you for him.

i am an ardent reader of your column and i 100 % agree with your comments.  some people are hell bent of erasing Obj's name from the face of this planet, so that they can penetrate evil.  Whenever this propanganda is penetrated in the media, i usually look forward to what you have written before i form my own opinion.

i am sad to hear that you are being persecuted for your truthful and factual writing.  I am not saying Obj is a saint, but he has done better than all the presidents Nigeria ever had .  the thing is that Obj must be made to look bad for them to be good.  I think this is not in the best interest of Nigeria.  I was incesenced with Mr Terver when i read his article about Ribadu.  I told him that i would not  allow myself to be aggravated by reading his article ever.

please do not stop standing up for the truth.  In my language they say the lie may 1000 miles away from the truth but truth would catch up with it in 1 dash.     one day the truth would come out and all the lies would be exposed.  Please break that vow for the sake of people like us.

I live in Sweden and your writings is something that keeps me abreast of what is going on in Nigeria.  Well done sir.
Yours

Frisky's reply to Tutu

Thanks a lot compatriot,

My vow was a parody of foolery for those who seek to coerce me into capitulation. I will keep on writing the way I deem fit.
