The President was quoted as querying Ribadu why
Tafa Balogun was handcuffed! We dare say Mr President that Mr Balogun
was handcuffed, with the purpose for which handcuffs are made in
mind.!!
The handcuff on Mr Balogun fits him very well and the scene on the
television shows that Nigeria is on a new course. After all, Nigerian
people see petty criminals on handcuffs everyday even before trial.
Are there two rules in Nigeria? One for the rich and another one for
the poor? Do not worry about sympathy Mr. President, Mr. Balogun has
none of that from us at the NigerianNews.
The spectacle of seeing Tafa in handcuffs brings no sympathy from non
criminally minded citizen, but an awareness that it is no longer
business as usual
Mr. President, no citizen is above the law. We hope you are not trying
to take two negative giant steps backward from the one good step that
led Mr. Balogun behind bar.
We are all very happy that you are now awake to your responsibilities,
please do not destroy our joy.
